This project is just for fun. The Works Cited Page. The Bibliography of Today’s Potatoes.
Read July’s Letter From the Editor for an explanation of why I’m doing this. This is not necessarily an exhaustive list of every single important or inspirational resource, or all of my favorite things. That would be much too overwhelming of an undertaking. Instead, with this page I am creating a small but growing index of at least just the important or inspirational resources that have made it to this website or to the newsletters, (excluding all the podcasts and links to blog articles, that would be way too much!)
These resources have, somewhere along the way, helped me to understand and express whatever it was I was hoping to communicate by working on Today’s Potatoes.
I am trying to practice more slow, deliberate, and intentional bug-collection. I hope to learn more about the ways in which each of these resources may relate to one another, or at least to the context in which they were produced.
So, rather than being organized alphabetically or by the order they have appeared on the site, I will be adding resources in chronological order, by the date they were published (as close as I can).
Just to see what happens! Maybe I’ll make some new connections, or have some new ideas, or be able to relate to the materials in a new light that is slightly more true, trying to consider them more for what they are and how they came to be, rather than only how they became important to me.
Who knows! It’s just for fun.
This is my styrofoam board of impaled insects, rearranged.
My dream is to open a bookstore, so I’m starting to slowly piece together the inventory list a couple 20,30 years early.
